ABSTRACT:

Servers, network equipment and storage facilities are generating more heat in smaller spaces than ever before. A full rack of blade servers, which takes up about 10 square feet of floor space, needs 57 kilowatts of power—that’s equal to the power generated by more than 200 plasma televisions. All of that power turns into heat, and it’s the data center manager’s job to eliminate it. But the process of cooling IT equipment starts long before the air hits the front of the servers. It doesn’t even start in the data center.

In this E-Book to learn:

  • Planning your chiller plant
  • Monitoring tempswith CRACs
  • Making CRACsmore efficient
  • Humidity control and cost savings
  • Designing your server racks
